Tom Cardy is an Australian musical comedian best known for his original comedy songs on Tiktok/Instagram, along with his “song sequels” which he performed on Triple J while Michael Hing was a host. His comedy songs include the very on-brand for Dragon Friends “Perception Check”, and many collaborations with Montaigne, including one of his biggest hits, “Red Flags”. Tom provided live musical accompaniment for Dragon Friends from season five to halfway through season eight, and composed the theme music for Dragon Friends seasons six, seven, eight and nine, and Heroes of Yearth seasons one and two.
Tom appeared as Drongo in The Gribbits Detective Agency, and also as guest NPCs in several episodes of season 7 before joining the cast as tortle character Logan the Huge in seasons eight and nine.
When the Dragon Friends campaign took a break in 2024, Tom joined forces with Edan Lacey to DM the first season of the new campaign, Heroes of Yearth. When Hing took over as DM for the second season in 2025, Tom joined the players as goliath bard Ernie Sweetwater, doing “double duty” on live music as well.
