David Harmon, aka "Dungeon Dave" aka "Dungeon Daddy Dave" is the original Dungeon Master of Dragon Friends, filling that role for all nine seasons of the first campaign and most of its spin-offs and side quests. He narrates the action, shapes the plots and contextualises the world from the outside.
Unlike many DMs, Dave does not generally voice NPCs, which are instead played as semi-autonomous characters by Ben Jenkins, Edan Lacey or guest co-DMs. During holiday specials Dave relinquishes his DM duties to Simon Greiner and Edan and instead plays Froyo, elder cousin to Freezo. Dave has also been a player in some of the Twitch streams, including Tastly, Highstrider & Hedge, DM’d by Edan. For the new campaign Heroes of Yearth Dave passed on the DM reigns for the podcast to Edan and Tom Cardy, and does not appear as a player, though he and Ben do play guest characters late in the first season.
Outside of the Dragon Friends, Dave is a writer, director, performer and game designer. He’s created theatre and live events of all sizes up to and including 1,000-player day-long zombie survival simulators. His garage is a mess.
