| “ | I thought that the lack of a live audience would potentially mean that you would all focus on the game of Dungeons & Dragons. | ” |
The third season of Heroes of Yearth is titled “Rise of Tiamat”, and follows directly on from “Tyranny of Dragons”. Due to scheduling conflicts with the cast, this season is planned to be half the usual length, and is recorded without a live audience. It’s the thirteenth season of the podcast overall.
This main cast remain the same as the previous season, including Michael Hing as the Dungeon Master. Tom's character Ernie Sweetwater begins the season facing the consequences of his previous actions. Edan Lacey continues to play NPCs, and Nick Harriott returns to provide live musical accompaniment.
Inspiration
This season’s story is based on Tyranny of Dragons, the first official published campaign for Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition, written for Wizards of the Coast by Wolfgang H.
